Society for Health Sciences Education and Research (SHEAR Society)

The Society for Health Sciences Education and Research (SHEAR), a non-profit professional organisation, is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in India (Registration No. 01963/2023–2024). As an emerging professional organisation, SHEAR brings together a dedicated team committed to advancing scholars across academic and health science disciplines. Its primary goal is to promote professional development, research excellence, and allied activities while cultivating an environment that encourages growth, innovation, and collaboration. Through its commitment to excellence and knowledge sharing, SHEAR aims to empower educators, researchers, and healthcare professionals and contribute to meaningful progress in education, research, and practice.

Mission and Objectives

SHEAR Society is committed to advancing health sciences education and research while contributing to society through meaningful social welfare and community-development initiatives. It strives to promote rigorous, ethical, and impactful research by providing platforms for researchers and scholars to disseminate their findings and contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge. To support this mission, SHEAR Society publishes freely accessible scholarly journals and promotes academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and research dissemination. It also seeks to recognise research excellence and support eligible scholars through academic awards, travel bursaries, and other initiatives that facilitate professional development and participation in academic activities.

In addition to its academic mission, SHEAR Society is dedicated to supporting underprivileged and disadvantaged individuals through educational initiatives, essential resources, skill-development programmes, and vocational training opportunities. Knowledge Partner- AHEAD’26 Annual International Conference

SHEAR Society is pleased to serve as a Knowledge Partner for the AHEAD’26 Annual International Conference, scheduled for 14-16 December 2026, organised by AHEAD Lab, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), Uttarakhand, India.

As part of this academic collaboration, SHEAR Society is supporting travel bursaries to facilitate the participation of eligible researchers and scholars. The Society is also supporting academic awards to recognise excellence in research presentations.
