SHEAR Society provides awards and bursaries to support students, researchers, scholars, and other individuals in attending conferences, workshops, meetings, and other academic and professional development opportunities. Details of upcoming awards and bursary opportunities will be announced below.

Membership of SHEAR Society is not mandatory to apply for awards or bursaries. Eligibility will be determined according to the specific criteria established for each award or bursary. For further details, please contact us.

Awards & Bursaries Announcement

SHEAR Society is pleased to be a Knowledge Partner of the AHEAD’26 Annual International Conference, scheduled to be held from 14-16 December 2026, and organised by AHEAD Lab, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), Uttarakhand, India.

As part of this academic collaboration, SHEAR Society is supporting travel bursaries covering travel expenses, conference registration, accommodation, and meals to facilitate the participation of eligible researchers and scholars in AHEAD’26.

SHEAR Society is also supporting academic awards to recognise excellence in research presentations in the following categories:

1. Best Regular Presentation
2. Best Flash Presentation
3. Best Poster Presentation

Travel bursary recipients will be selected by the AHEAD’26 Organising/Expert Committee based on academic merit, financial need, and relevance to the conference themes. Award recipients will be determined according to the conference’s academic evaluation process.
